WISKO F2000 Expands to Three Car Team for NJMP

WISKO F2000 will increase its presence in the F2000 Championship Series fielding three cars at New Jersey Motorsports Park for rounds 7 and 8.  The primary car,# 66 Van Diemen, will continued to be piloted by Kevin Kopp who lies 6th in championship series points after the first six races and leads the Cellmark Paper Hard Charger point standings.

New to the F2000 series is Jason Rabe, a Millville, NJ resident in car #99 who will drive one of the Team’s new 2012 Elan Van Diemens.  Jason, a driving instructor for the BertilRoos Race School as well as New Jersey Motorsports Park’s own Driver’s Club, was the 2011 SCCA South Jersey Region Rookie of the Year and holds the track record at New Jersey on the Thunderbolt circuit in a Formula Mazda. Along with Jason’s experience he also brings with him the support in the form of sponsorship to the team from Triple-T Cutting Tools, Incof West Berlin, NJ as well as Performance Orthopedics.

Piloting the second of the two 2012 WISKO F2000 Elan Van Diemens, car #39 is eighteen year-old Paul Alspach. Alspach, also new to the F2000 Championship Series, is the 2011 BertilRoos Racing School Formula Ford 2000 Series champion and also successfully competed in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Winter fest series in Sebring this past March.

WISKO will bolster its technical staff for New Jersey with the addition of two nationally recoginzed race engineers.  Ted Eller, who has been supporting the team since the first race at VIR and is well-known among open wheel races across the US, will formally join WISKO F2000 for New Jersey and provide engineering support directly to the new drivers.  The team is very pleased to announce that Jon Baytos, a race engineer with two decades of experience in open wheel racing and considerable expertise, with respect to the Van Diemen chassis,will also join the team for New Jersey and provide engineering expertise.
