SAN JOSE, Calif. – For drivers and teams in the hotly-contested F2000 Championship Series and the F1600 Formula F Championship Series, Velocity Haus Engineering is proud to announce an awards program that is as simple as it gets: Go fast, win prizes.

Velocity Haus, a constructor of specialty parts for small formula cars, has partnered with the F2000 and F1600 Championship Series to create the Velocity Haus Maximum Velocity Award, rewarding the driver who sets the fastest race lap in each of the series’ 10 remaining rounds – showing their outstanding commitment to speed and performance.

Beginning May 25-26 at Lime Rock Park, each fast-lap driver will receive a $200 credit redeemable for any Velocity Haus Engineering parts. At the end of the season, the driver who sets the most fast laps throughout the year will receive a $1,000 cash bonus award. Additionally, drivers who break existing series track records will receive a $250 parts credit, and the driver who breaks the most track records over the course of the season will win a $1,200 cash bonus.

“At Velocity Haus, our mission is to create parts that are engineered for excellence in motorsports, and we wanted to reward drivers who share our commitment to speed,” owner Greg Pizzo said. “Right now in the F2000 and F1600 series, there’s no reward besides bragging rights for fast race laps and track records, and we think those significant achievements deserve more recognition.”

Series Managing Director Michael Rand said, “Velocity Haus’ involvement with both Series will be an added benefit for those drivers that set track records and fast laps in the race, providing a further incentive to go fast.”

One thing unites every driver in the sport, whether they’re a weekend warrior or a rising star pro: the need for speed. That desire is baked into everything Velocity Hausdoes.Developed with Pizzo’s decades of experience as a racing driver and CAD designer, Velocity Hausoffers a wide array of parts for today’s formula cars, engineered for performance and efficiency. The goal is to raise the bar for small formula cars without raising the price. Velocity Haus parts are available through online direct ordering, or from Primus Racing, which provides trackside support to the F2000 Championship Series.

To be eligible for the awards, series drivers must display Velocity Haus decals on their cars. Credits may be saved and redeemed in combination. Parts can be ordered online, over the phone or through Primus Racing’s trackside services.
