Tricia Blaine Rieffle

February 23, 2011

It is with a heavy heart and extreme sorrow we need to let all know that Tricia Rieffle has died.

Tricia suffered a massive stroke on Saturday Feb 19 and passed away Tuesday Feb 22 in Wexford, PA where she and Paul (Rieffle) were partners in life and in R-Sport.

We have lost one of the more colorful, friendly and cheerful members of our extended racing family

Always far more than the team cheerleader Tricia was involved in R-Sport and always brightened everyone’s day with a smile, a friendly chat, and those bright colorful shoes

And cookies, always wonderful homemade cookies.

One personal remembrance from Series Managing Director Michael Rand: “The first time I met Tricia was on the weekend of our first ever event, VIR in April 2006. One of the drivers had a gearbox break and the spare was in Pennsylvania. Paul was not sure they would be racing. But the next day Tricia arrived having gone to the shop, loaded up the spare transmission, and driven to VIR. And was surprised when anyone thought that unusual”

To all their family and friends, their customers who inevitably became friends as much as anyone, the entire F2000 paddock, we are all in shock and offer the most sincere condolences to Paul and the R-Sport team, Rob, Donnie, Mike Mazziotti, Keith McCrone, Tim Dunn, Scott Gesford, Jonathon Scarallo, all the drivers past and present, we are all lessened by Tricias passing.
