Mid-Ohio Recap: Matthew Cowley made it four wins at Mid-Ohio in a row with a victory on Saturday for Team Pelfrey. Teammate David Osborne won his first race in F1600 on Sunday morning at his home track, while Zach Holden recovered from a rough weekend to cap things off with a win on Sunday afternoon for K-Hill Motorsports, keeping his title hopes alive.

- Matthew Cowley has moved ahead in the points for Team Pelfrey, but with some 159 points up for grabs, things can change in an instant, especially with three races run in the span of just over 24 hours in Pittsburgh.

- The track. Pittsburgh International Race Complex is quickly becoming a premiere road racing destination in North America. An abundance of character-building turns and a high-speed track design with serious elevation changes will be welcome by drivers. The course was completely repaved earlier this year with updated curbs and improved runoff areas.

- Scott Rubenzer has quietly put together an outstanding Masters Class season, and took over the points lead at Mid-Ohio. The veteran driver has a slim eight point lead over Rice Race Prep pilot Joel Haas.

Mid-Ohio Recap: McCusker had his hands full with Tim Paul on Saturday, while LaRue narrowly held off Rob Allaer a day later.

Other Key Talking Points

- While Brandon Dixon continues to lead the points, the top seven Championship contenders all can leave PittRace with the points lead if math works in their favor.

- Tim Paul and Rob Allaer are both coming off strong second place finishes at Mid-Ohio and continue to hunt for their first F2000 wins. Allaer, in the No. 52 for LTD Motorsports, has been close to the top podium step all season long. Paul finished third at Indianapolis and approved further, to a career-best second for R-Sport at Mid-Ohio. He returns to the red No. 6 entry for PittRace. Also looking for his maiden visit to victory lane is the No. 68 of Steve Jenks.

- Additional key entries include: Tim Minor, two time Series Champion; Nicolas Palacio, who won the season-opener at VIR; and Reece Everard, who was also quick and led at VIR in April.

Mid-Ohio Recap: Peter Portante won for K-Hill Motorsports on Saturday with a daring move at the start of the race, escaping for the race victory. A day later, his win streak would end when his car suffered a mechanical problem while running in second. David Grant would score his first win of the 2017 season for Polestar Racing Group ahead of brother Keith, tightening an already fierce title battle.
