Sebring, FL – With track time and race craft experience to be gained, Formula Race Promotions will conclude its two-weekend Winter Exhibition program at Sebring International Raceway this weekend, with a full three days of scheduled activities for the F1600, F2000 and Atlantic Championships at the historic race track.

After an action-packed Palm Beach International Raceway event in the F1600 Series that saw lead change after lead change for 20 laps, Calvin Ming and K-Hill Motorsports are aiming to sweep both F1600 races in the month of February. Ming dueled with Team Pelfrey’s Phillippe Denes to the checkered flag at Palm Beach to take the victory.

Neal Verhagen finished third in that race for K-Hill, while Kaylen Frederick led early for Pelfrey, but was sidelined after the lead group came together mid-way through the race.

Ming, Denes, Frederick and Verhagen are all expected to be part of the lead pack at Sebring.

Roman De Angelis will see his second weekend of pro competition with Brian Graham Racing’s Piper/Honda effort and in the Masters Class, Hartley Macdonald will run the classic Swift DB-1 at Sebring.

The field will get deeper, with the arrival of returning drivers Ben Auriemma and Will Harvey in a pair of Exclusive Autosport Spectrum/Hondas. Both drivers are switching chassis and teams for the winter events, the joining 2015 Championship-winning team.

Harvey’s best finish in pro competition came at Road Atlanta in 2015 with a drive to third place. Auriemma, meanwhile, hopes to convert one of his four runner-up results from 2015 into his first F1600 victory.

In F2000, aspiring racer Blake Mount will try to sweep the winter events for K-Hill as well. Although he will face renewed competition from Davy D'Addario, who was fastest in practice on Friday at Palm Beach, but did not start the race. One added entry for the weekend is Masters Class veteran Peter Gonzalez, in the No. 16 Radon/Zetec.

K-Hill will be going for a potential sweep in all three classes for the second straight weekend, as Ryan Norman dominated the Atlantic Championship Series in Palm Beach, and will look to continue his outright pace in the No. 48 Swift 016/Mazda.

Sebring is the final of two Winter Exhibition events hosted by Formula Race Promotions in February. Running back-to-back. the events provide track time and a pre-season atmosphere for teams looking to get a bit of extra testing in under the Florida sun. The points-paying, seven-weekend season starts at Road Atlanta, April 7-10.
