VALENCIA, SPAIN: Fifteen year old American racer, Santino Ferrucci emerged fastest during the last two days of the collective Formula 3 test at the circuit Roberto Tormo in Valencia. This was Santino’s first outing in a Formula 3 car.

Driving for Eurointernational in a Dallara 311 powered by Mercedes, Ferrucci was P1 on Thursday and Friday, beating 30 of the best Formula 3 pilots in Europe. “I am very surprised to have been so fast in the F3” said a delighted Ferrruci. “I did a few days of testing at Vallelunga and was rather comfortable. Going up against all the top teams and their best drivers was intimidating to say the least but I had great focus and an awesome team”.

“Santino did an unbelieveable job over the last 3 days,” said team owner Antonio Ferrari. “It is amazing to think that in his first test, a 15 year old can beat all of the regular F3 drivers that are all older and with much more experience. Santino is fast and I am really excited to have him on my team and we are going to win a lot of races!”.

Santino’s 2014 plans have yet to be finalized as he has to wait until his sixteenth birthday on May 31st before he can compete in any FIA events. “We are currently looking at German F3, British F3 and for sure European FIA F3 the second half of 2014. I need to work hard in the gym and still test a few thousand more kilometers to be best prepared”.
