Robinson Returns to Pittsburgh International Race Complex

July 31, 2014

Augusta, GA - Former karter Skylar Robinson will journey to the Pittsburgh International Race Complex this weekend for rounds 9 and 10 of the 2014 F2000 Championship.  Robinson currently sits 3rd in the championship and will be looking to move up the standings in the second half of the year.

Robinson has raced at the Pitt Race Complex before, but on the kart track not the full sized car track.

“It will be kind of neat racing on the car track.  I remember when I used to kart there, I would go over and watch cars on the ‘big’ track.  The track looks like it will be really tough to race at as there are no great passing zones, so we will see what happens”, commented the 18 year old.

At his last race at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, the Eric Langbein Racing driver collected two top 5 finishes.  To date, he has recorded one win, three podiums, two fastest race laps, and one qualifying lap record.

“Mid Ohio was a solid weekend.  We obviously would have liked better results, but given the circumstances, we did what we could.  I am feeling very good about this weekend, so hopefully everything comes together”, remarked Skylar.
