Road Atlanta Pole to Minor
Braselton, GA – Tim Minor narrowly edged out a charging Skylar Robinson for pole position at Road Atlanta for the opening round of the 2014 F2000 Championship Series season. Minor dropped a 1:24.692 en route to take the first pole of his Championship defense. Robinson and Minor both elected to run just a handful of laps to conserve tires. Sergio Pasian qualified third, with David Grant and Kevin Kopp completing a close top-five at Road Atlanta.
Tim Paul wheeled his No. 06 entry to a sixth place qualifying spot with Sam Beasley in seventh, as the Polestar driver inches his way up the time sheets as the weekend progresses.
Thomas McGregor followed in his F2000 Championship debut for Exclusive Autosport, as Jim Libecco and John McCusker completed the top ten.
Race one of the 2014 season, and the first of two this weekend at Road Atlanta follows at 4:05pm local time (eastern).
