Rabe: From Indy to Watkins Glen
Monticello, NY – Fresh off an Expert Class win in the Pro Mazda Grand Prix of Indianapolis and Hard Charger honors, Jason Rabe will strap into his No. 14 K-Hill Motorsports F2000 Championship Series entry at Watkins Glen International this weekend, May 16-18, for rounds three and four of the 2014 F2000 season.
Charging through the field from 19th to ninth at the famed Brickyard, Rabe will now hope to improve upon that and better his top ten result from the F2000 season opener in Road Atlanta last month. Better yet, a day of testing at New Jersey Motorsport Park proved the No. 14 chassis fast and dialed in – and Rabe will have 32 other cars to contend with on the natural terrain high-speed long-course at Watkins Glen.
“Going from a race weekend at Indianapolis to a weekend at Watkins Glen is hard to believe,” Rabe said. “Those are two of the best tracks in the world.”
The weekend gets going with a double practice day on Friday, May 16, with both Saturday and Sunday featuring qualifying sessions and races. Follow live on www.f2000series.com.
