Mehan Keeps Up the Pace, Scores Pole

Thompson, CT – Friday’s fastest driver, Evan Mehan, took pole during morning qualifying for the first F1600 Formula F Championship Series race of the weekend at Thompson Speedway. Jack Mitchell Jr. was second quick, narrowly missing pole in his Spectrum. Championship rivals Garth Rickards and Ayla Agren qualified third and fourth for Team Pelfrey ahead of Mehan's Chastain Motorsports teammate Sam Chastain. Full Results.
