Livengood on Top in Practice
Braselton, GA – Chris Livengood paced an early 30-minute practice session at Road Atlanta, clearly answering back following electrical problems ruining his race on Friday. Livengood’s fast lap checked in at 1:25.220, ahead of Jonathan Scarallo by just three hundredths of a second as the super-tight front of the field theme continues in Georgia.
Scarallo sat on pole for Friday’s race, and spent most of the race in the top three before a salvaging a sixth place finish with the front wing assembly on the #13 dragging on the ground n for the last two laps.
Following the two American drivers, who both won a race last season, was Robert La Rocca in the RFR chassis, third quick, ahead of Tim Minor and Remy Audette.
Friday’s winner, Kyle Connery, did not turn a lap in the practice session after leading all 18 laps to his first career F2000 victory. Officials think Connery may be playing it safe before qualifying. Connery wasn’t the only one being careful as quite a few entries elected to miss the practice session to concentrate on qualifying, which follows just two hours later.
