LaRue Scores Mid-Ohio Victory
Lexington, OH - From pole, John LaRue took his fourth win of the 2017 F2000 Championship Series season with a flag-to-flag drive at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in round eight on a stunning summer afternoon. LaRue's No. 17 led every lap to the checkered flag, with an intense battle behind him as Rob Allaer came home second and Tim Paul delivered another podium performance in third place. Saturday winner John McCusker was fourth and Steve Jenks was fifth after starting last.

John LaRue:
"Yesterday was what we expected. We didn't have rain tires and were short on crew, so we didn't' take any chances running the car hard. We used it as a test of sorts and the car was good today, we're real happy. I appreciate everyone coming out. This Series is perfect."
Robert Allaer:
"I think it goes without saying that John LaRue is the best guy driving these cars. I'm lucky to be up here in second. My hope at the restart was not to let Tim get past me."
Tim Paul:
"It was a great race today, we ran real hard and did everything we could to stay up front. When Brandon (Dixon) ran wide, I couldn't see what happened, he went off in turn 11 behind me. My helmet was full of grass for most of the race, I was trying to get it out of my eyes."
Steve Jenks:
"This was a crazy weekend. This was the best car I have ever had at Mid-Ohio by a long shot and I thought we had a real chance. We completely out smarted ourselves yesterday and I got myself in trouble. Today we abolished all thinking and decided to drive fast. Thank you to Tumenas Motorsports for getting the car back together, it was real good in the race. It was fun, everyone did a nice job of giving room but racing hard by fair.
