Millville, NJ – With no power at the track and a paddock left in shambles from a massive storm on Friday night, Finland’s Matias Koykka kept his 2012 pole streak alive in the Spectrum/Honda for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing, outgunning teammate Shae Davies in the closing stages of qualifying for race five of the 2012 season at New Jersey Motorsports Park’s Thunderbolt circuit.

Davies was fast during Friday practice as is a new comer from Australia, although the a factory driver for the Spectrum chassis back home.

On row two Garett Grist will be alongside Robert Lorena, both a full second behind the Spectrum chassis duo. Grist in a Mygale and Lorena in a Van Diemen, both with Honda power.

Jeremy Grenier rounded out the top five ahead of Steve Oseth, Art Foster, Colin Thomspon, Ross Devoe and John McCusker.

Champoinship points leader Brandon Newey missed the session with gearbox issues and the car may not be ready for the race, either.

The race gets going around 11:10 a.m. local time.
