Lexington, OH – With day one of the Mid-Ohio weekend in the books it was Keith Grant at the top of the time sheets in the No. 40 Polestar entry with a time of 1:16.878. Second fastest for the day was the young Conner Kearby who had a time of 1:16.919 and in third was Gaston Kearby with a time of 1:19.433.

Grant is picking up where he left off after closing out the VIR weekend with a first place finish in race two. Grant held the fastest time for nearly the entirety of both practice session and was able to consistently keep perfecting his laps and lowering fast time.

K-Hill driver C. Kearby is no stranger to a fast practice session and is at it again at Mid-Ohio. The young driver of the No. 56 car is looking to translate these fast lap times into a prime qualifying position for race one and take his second win of the season  and march toward Grant in the points battle. Both Kearby and Grant have separated themselves from the field in the title-fight.

The other Kearby on the track, G. Kearby, was third fastest after the two sessions with a time of 1:19.433. G. Kearby was also the fastest in the Atlantic Challenge class for the first of two practice sessions for the day.

Practice One

The Atlantic Championship Series practice one for the Mid-Ohio ended with Grant holding the fastest lap of the session with a time of 1:16.878. In second for the first practice of the weekend was C. Kearby, who had a time of 1:16.919, and in third was G. Kearby with a time of 1:19.433.

The other Kearby on the track, G. Kearby, was third fastest in the morning session with a time of 1:19.433. G. Kearby was also the fastest in the Atlantic Challenge class for the first of two practice sessions for the day.

Comprent driver Rich Zober was fourth for practice one, followed by Connor Burke in fifth.

The Atlantic Challenge was having its own battle just outside the top five with Dudley Fleck, Lewis Cooper Jr. putting down lap times within a few tenths of a second of each other.

Practice Two

The second practice session of the day was almost a mirror image of the earlier session with Grant, C. Kearby, and G. Kearby all maintaining their positions, although Grant was unable to improve his morning time.

Behind the top three were Zober and Connor Burke, who were able to hold their positions from practice one but at the same time they both put down faster lap times compared to the previous session.

The Atlantic Challenge competition was what ended up separating the two sessions as Lewis Cooper Jr. and Dudley Fleck duked it out for the second fastest time in the Atlantic Challenge. In practice two Cooper emerged the victor, vice versa to what happened in practice one.

Behind Cooper Jr. and Fleck was Chris Ash in eighth and John Burke in ninth; also a change from practice one where Chris Ash bumped up a spot.
