April 13, 2015
No. 56 Conner Kearby

Braselton, GA – Conner Kearby scored his first Atlantic Championship Series victory in the No. 56 K-Hill Motorsports Swift 016/Mazda. Kearby trailed Saturday winner Keith Grant for the duration of the race before getting by the Polestar driver with two laps to go. Gaston Kearby finished in third for K-Hill.

Kearby edged closer to the lead, battling Grant for the race-distance and putting up his best effort yet at the start of his second Atlantic Championship Series campaign with his first victory.

“It was unbelievable, I had a good battle with Keith but persistence does pay off. I knew that if I let him get away I wouldn’t be able to stay in the draft and get him down the straight away, so I just had to keep up with him until the end and it seemed to pay off.”

Grant led for most the race, until the final laps were Kearby was able to get into first place.

“Unfortunately I hooked a curb going into turn five and it put me off into the rumble strips; Conner did a good job riding my tail the whole time and was able to capitalize on it.” said Grant, who was able to manage the race lead gap until he lost the point.

Two Kearby’s were on the podium in race two with Gaston Kearby finishing third in the No. 69 K-Hill Swift 016/Mazda.

In the Atlantic Challenge category, G. Kearby took the honors ahead of Comprent’s Bob Corliss, who ran a quick pace after having mechanical issues during Saturday’s race. Corliss’ Swift 014/Toyota performed flawlessly, allowing him to claim second place in the Atlantic Challenge.

Bruce Hamilton completed the Atlantic Challenge podium in the No. 06 K-Hill Motorsports Swift/016 Mazda with a fifth place finish.

Chris Ash finished sixth in a brand new Atlantic car from Comprent, followed by Mike Jacques, J.R. Smart and Richard Zober.

Zober looked to take his No. 66 to a double third place result repeating his strong Saturday performance before an issue late in the race.

The race had a single yellow flag period for an early-race incident involving Lewis Cooper Jr. and Bruce Crockett.
