Group-A Announces Internal Prize Package

January 7, 2010

Lindenhurst, NY - Group-A Racing is pleased to announce a prize package for drivers that race with them in the F2000 Championship Series. The prize is presented by the team’s primary sponsor: Auto Trend Tire & Wheel Company.

Auto Trend Tire & Wheel Company has been in business for over 25 years and is one of the biggest tire and wheel importers in America: distributing Toyo Tires, Vredestein Tires, Sumitomo Tires, ROH Wheels and Scarallo Wheels.

“We’re very excited to have a prize package to present to the drivers that compete with us this year in the F2000 Championship Series,” commented team owner Joe Scarallo Sr. “I am very serious about our involvement in racing, the F2000 Series, and developing young talent at the beginning stages of their professional racing careers. We offer one of the best programs for drivers. We have coaching on and off the track, top prep work and first class equipment and personnel. And now with this prize package we can help our drivers make the next step up the ladder system after they race with us in F2000.”

The prizes are rewarded to drivers that compete in the entire 2010 F2000 Series with Group-A Racing and finish between first and tenth in the championship. A potential champion would be rewarded either $10,000USD or a complimentary test day in an Atlantic car and $3,000USD. A Second to Fifth effort will be rewarded with either $5,000USD or a free test day in an Atlantic car. And finally, a sixth to tenth place result in the year end standings will be rewarded $2,500USD or a free half day test in an Atlantic car.

Scarallo Sr. continued: “This is a monetary rewards package that is un-matched by any other team in the F2000 Championship Series. We are serious about winning the championship and we want to attract the best drivers to come race with us in 2010. We are not looking to start a formula car meat factory and we only have two seats available.”

Group-A Racing has been involved in motorsports for over 15 years, contesting F2000, Trans-Am, AGT, World Challenge, Formula Atlantic and more. Group-A Racing currently seats still available for the 2010 season and is scheduling winter testing in preparation for the 2010 season. All drivers should contact Joe Scarallo Sr. at GroupARacing@aol.com or by phone (631) 974-4379.
