April 5, 2016

After two promising tests at VIR and NJMP, K-Hill Motorsports has signed Minnesota native Jenna Grillo for the F2000 Championship Series starting in Road Atlanta on April 7 -10. Grillo is stepping into F2000 after winning multiple regional karting championships. The 19 year-old has raced in the SKUSA ProTour National events for several years, but this will be her first season in an F2000 car.

K-Hill Team Principal Kris Kaiser said: “Jenna’s tests were very good from our standpoint, she is one of those drivers who can communicate well and make adjustments almost instantly so Jenna’s career in open wheel looks very promising. She is really a great addition to our growing team.”

Grillo races under the newly formed “TeamAWARE” with support from the National Fibromyalgia Association (fmaware.com) and the Community Pain Center (www.ourcpc.com) to help bring awareness of chronic pain which affects more than 100 million people in the U.S.

Both the NFA and Community Pain Centers are the leading organizations devoted to helping people with Chronic pain and fibromyalgia. Both organizations were founded by leading chronic pain activist Lynne Matallana. Grillo hopes to bring hope and inspiration to those that suffer with chronic pain.

Matallana said: “Our organizations are devoted to Jenna’s formula career and we are working to bring companies who can help chronic pain sufferers to her team. We believe Jenna is the perfect spokesperson for fibromyalgia and chronic pain.”

Grillo added: “I am very new to open wheel racing, so I made my team selection very carefully. K-Hill is an award winning team and I have no doubt that they will push me to be the best racer possible, both on and off the track. I am extremely excited and can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes me!”
