June 30, 2017

Lexington, OH - David Grant was fastest of all in Atlantic Championship Series practice at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Driving the No. 29 Swift 016/Mazda for Polestar Racing Group, Grant set the quick time for the day in the morning session at 1:16.892.

Sitting second in points, Grant is still searching for his first victory of the season, and sets himself up for a potential trip to the top step of the podium in round seven, taking place on Saturday afternoon and the middle point of the 14-race 2017 season.

Grant, the 2012 Champion, has finished on the podium in all six Atlantic races thus far in 2017 and ran an impressive 29 laps in morning practice. A few hours later, afternoon free practice was cut short by torrential rain and thunder.

Keith Grant

Keith Grant, brother and teammate to David, was second fastest in the morning in the No. 40 Polestar Racing Group entry.

Andrew Bujdoso

Andrew Bujdoso, making his Series debut, ran 28 laps for K-Hill Motorsports, and was the third fastest driver ahead of Lewis Cooper Jr.

Peter Portante

Peter Portante, the Championship points leader, is coming off a dominating streak of five straight Atlantic wins in the No. 24 for K-Hill Motorsports.
