Salem, NH – Part of Keith Grant’s Championship-winning 2015 campaign for the Polestar Racing Group in the Atlantic Championship Series was played by the 2.3-liter Mazda powering his Swift 016 chassis. Showing off a strong engine rules package by series organizer Formula Race Promotions, Grant’s engine lasted the entire season without a rebuild or failure.

“For the first time running an Atlantic season, I was able to start the season on one engine, and run it the entire season without a rebuild,” said Grant. “We put over 2,200 miles on the motor with no problems and the cost of my rebuild is 75 percent of what I was paying to rebuild Toyota engines every 750 miles.”

Grant didn’t conserve either, running the majority of track time which sees competitors offered around three hours per weekend, plus additional test days that the Series hosted at Road Atlanta, VIR, Mid-Ohio and Pittsburgh.

“We have a very good engine program in the Swift 016’s right now and I wouldn’t recommend changing anything,” Grant noted, adding that engine would have easily gone between 2,500 and 3,000 miles.
