Jupiter, FL – Add two more Van Diemen/Hondas to the F1600 Formula F Championship Series entry list. Race winner Jim Goughary is back, along with Steve Jenks, in a pair of identical Van Diemens with trackside support from the Raceworks team.

“I will be racing the rest of the season, and just bought these two cars,” said Goughary, who won the first race in Series history by just inches last season. “I will be teaming up with Raceworks again for the trackside support, prep and transport. The idea is to run at least two cars for the balance of the year and have up to 4 cars for 2013. Hopefully we will have a front running team with cars available at a reasonable price. Mid Ohio will be myself and Steve Jenks and then we will see what the rest of the year brings.”

Goughary wound up third in the 2011 title fight after a strong season in a Piper/Honda.

Meanwhile, Jenks joins Goughary for rounds seven and eight of the 2012 season at Mid-Ohio.

Sponsored by Cleanlife Products, makers of No Rinse bathing products, Jenks has been racing since 2004. He was the 2005 and 2007 Rotary Rockets champion.

Jenks has won the Great Lakes division of both the SCCA and Formula Car Challenge in Formula Mazda. Racing with Continental Motorsports, Jenks has numerous SCCA national wins, a track record, and a podium finish at the 2010 June Sprints. In 2011, Jenks finished fourth in both the SCCA Runoffs and the Formula Car Challenge Championship. This season, Jenks has national wins at Road Atlanta and Mid Ohio.
