It is with deep regret we need to inform the F2000 Series family, and the larger open-wheel community, that Glenn Phillips, long-time team owner and engineer, passed away on Saturday, June 13, following a battle with cancer.

Phillips ran a F2000 multi-car team, winning the 2006 Championship and most recently fielding cars for a variety of drivers. He could not be missed in the paddock under the GTP awning and was one of the original F2000 team owners, fielding cars in all 10 seasons the Series has operated in.

He was instrumental in the design and development of the new Radon F2000 car, starting a new car era for the Championship. Glenn spent most of his career in motorsports, working on everything open-wheel from karts to Formula F to IndyCar, as well as IMSA prototypes and endurance cars. He was also a skilled motocross and endurance rider.

Arrangements to follow.
