FRP in Full 2018 Track Time Planning Mode

Summit Point was a prime example of FRP’s game changing on-track product: FRP's Atlantic races each went 40 minutes without a single full course caution, and the two exciting F2000 races saw only a single caution period. FRP's highly competitive F1600 series, also experienced only a single caution period during its three close competitive races.

In fact, over the last nine F1600 races, there have been only a total of six yellow flag laps running over 168 completed race laps, meaning 162 of those laps were run under green flag conditions in the USAC-sanctioned Championship.

So far in this season, all but five of the F1600 races have been decided by a margin of victory under one second, with four of those under a tenth of a second.

With three races to go, the Championship is as tight as ever with three still in the hunt: points leader Matthew Cowley, who is being hunted by Zach Holden and Jonathan Kotyk.

Meanwhile, any one of several Masters Competitors could clinch their title.

“Weekend in and weekend out, we consistently offer close and competitive racing. We had lead changes and tight battles in all seven races run at Summit Point, including one of the best F1600 races we have ever witnessed. The fact there were only two full course cautions during the weekend is testament to the product we have put together, and a major testament to the quality of our competitors” commented FRP co-owners Al Guibord and Robert Wright.

While the 2018 schedule is still a work in progress, competitors can look forward to many of the same venues they have been accustomed to since FRP started operations in 2006. F1600 will remain on a 21-race schedule pattern, with three races per weekend. Atlantic and F2000 are set to continue with 14-race seasons going forward.

FRP has one more weekend schedule in 2017, October 6-8, at New Jersey Motorsports Park, with an entry fee discount available to first-time entrants.
