Jupiter, FL - In Friday Formula Race Promotions practice at Palm Beach International Raceway, it was Kaylen Frederick, Dave D'Adario and Skylar Robinson setting the fastest times of the day in the F1600, F2000 and Atlantic categories respectively. Palm Beach is the first of two winter exhibition weekends scheduled.

Before the temperatures rose in Florida, Frederick set fast pace in the F1600 Formula F Championship Series morning session for Team Pelfrey, while K-Hill Motorsports teammates Calvin Ming and Neil Verhagen were at the top of the following two practice sessions on a Friday that saw lengthy track time in the Florida weather.

The morning session to open the day's activities had Frederick lead the way for F1600's Team Pelfrey ahead of teammate Phillippe Denes, with Ming coming in third on the time sheets.

The second session saw Ming improve to fastest overall time for K-Hill, beating out Frederick and Verhagen.

Finally, it was Verhagen on the top of the time sheets on a warmer race track in the later afternoon. The aspiring driver is moving to a full year in F1600 after Skip Barber competition, and has recently done limited testing with K-Hill. Verhagen led Ming and Denes during the final 30-minute practice session of the day.

All three F1600 drivers that paced sessions were in Mygales, while Joe Colasacco ran competitively in practice in his first pro event with the K-Hill team in another Mygale/Honda.

K-Hill is the U.S. importer for the French chassis manufacturer, and confirmed new chassis are available and on the ground in North America.

Roman DeAngelis also made his debut for Brian Graham racing in a Piper/Honda.

The first points-paying race for F1600 is in April at Road Atlanta, with another exhibition weekend scheduled at Sebring, Feb. 19-21.

F2000 and Atlantic join F1600 at all nine scheduled 2016 events, split into seven points weekends and two exhibition races.

The F1600 drivers will next qualify on Saturday morning with the featured race, 28 laps, set to take place later in the day on Saturday.

In the F2000 category, Dave D'Adario was fastest on the day with the best time of 1:17.564 coming in the morning session before the No. 37 experienced some reported mechanical issues.

Blake Mount was second quick at 1:18.567 in the morning, improving to 1:18.500 for K-Hill Motorsports in the second of three practice sessions.

Mount led both the second and third practice sessions for F2000 on Friday ahead of Saturday's timed, 28-minute feature race.

The ground-shaking Atlantic Championship Series cars led on time sheets overall on Friday.

Skylar Robinson set the mark at 1:10.412 in the morning for K-Hill Motorsports in a Swift 016/Mazda, with Ryan Norman fastest in both afternoon sessions in a similar K-Hill car, despite going off course in session three. Bruce Hamilton was second fastest in his No. 06 Swift 014/Toyota.
