Formula Race Promotions Set for Barber Motorsports Park Weekend

October 12, 2026

Formula Race Promotions (FRP) heads south this weekend to Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama, for the October 16–18 event, held as part of the SVRA weekend. Barber's flowing, elevation-rich layout, dubbed the Alabama Rollercoaster, gives drivers and teams across FRP's open-wheel classes a demanding test as the 2026 season sets to conclude this coming weekend.

‍

With the event days away, below are the “Need to Knows” to help competitors, crew members, families, and fans prepare for the trip to one of the most scenic road courses in North America.

‍

On Track

The weekend features FRP's competitive run groups:

  • F1600
  • F2000
  • Atlantic 016 / Atlantic Open

‍

F1600 runs three races across Saturday and Sunday, while the combined Atlantic/F2000 group runs two races on Sunday afternoon. FRP shares the bill with SVRA, International GT, F4 U.S. Championship, Ligier Junior Formula Championship and Formula Regional Americas, making for a packed weekend of action.
