Formula Race Promotions Opens Single Event Registration for 2023

February 9, 2023

With discounted full-season registration closing on Friday, the focus shifts to single-event signups for the upcoming 2023 Formula Race Promotions (FRP) program. With the first event weekend just over one month away at Road Atlanta, competitors are now able to complete the registration process for event weekends one, two, and three as the first green flag of 2023 is on the horizon.

“We have an exciting seven-event season ahead of us, joining SVRA and Trans Am on five of their Spectator action-packed weekends, allowing FRP to race on some of the great tracks we haven’t been to for a while,” remarked Bob Wright.

With the first event taking place at the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and hosted by SVRA at their 2023 MISSION FOODS ATLANTA SPEEDTOUR, FRP competitors will battle wheel-to-wheel over the March 23 – 26 weekend. Atlantic 016 and Open classes, F2000, F1000, F1600, and F1600 Masters are all on the FRP run schedule, as competitors will be heading to Braselton, Georgia to start their season off right joining an exciting spectator event weekend with loads of vintage cars and the thunder of Trans Am.

April 28-30 will find FPR’s Atlantic, F1000, F2000, F1600, F1600 Masters, RCFFS, VS2000, and Challenge Cup competitors descending upon the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The 2.4-mile, 15-turn course is a perennial FRP favorite, and with plentiful track time — the heart of the 2023 race season is launched at FRP’s second event.

The third event weekend of 2023 brings FRP’s F1600, F1600 Masters, F2000, and F1000 competitors to the famed and much-loved Lime Rock Park as part of the SVR’s 2023 MEMORIAL DAY CLASSIC, May 26-29.

Wright continued, “It has been over a decade since FRP has competed at Lime Rock Park: it is my favorite track of all time, and this is a great opportunity for FRP competitors to race this classic track while participating in a festive fully attended spectator event.”

“These are full events with lots of moving parts” commented Race Director, Mike Fultz. “Register early and pay attention to the individual Event Info Sheets on our website as some of our procedures have changed.

Bob Wright adds - “The 2023 season is now here and it is time to go racing!!!”
