Formula Race Promotions Opens Registration for January 2026 Sebring Test

December 16, 2025

Formula Race Promotions (FRP) has officially opened registration for its January 2026 Pre-Season Test at Sebring International Raceway, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, January 21–22, 2026. The two-day test provides competitors a valuable opportunity to prepare cars, drivers, and crews ahead of the upcoming 2026 season in a low-pressure, non-race environment.

The Sebring test will feature two FRP run groups, with each group receiving three hours of total, one and a half hours of track time per day, divided into three 30-minute sessions per day. The run groups include F1600 and F1600 Masters (39 years and older), as well as F2000, F4, FE-2, Atlantic 016, and Open Classes.

The Atlantic Open Class will include the Tatuus PM18 per USF Pro regulations, along with all SCCA Club-eligible (non-Swift 016)) Atlantic cars, including F1000s, as defined by SCCA Formula Atlantic rules. Additional models may be approved at the discretion of FRP’s Race Director.

Registration for all competitors is available exclusively through MotorsportReg.com. Drivers may register for both days for $900, and a single day for $600.

FRP events in 2026 are sanctioned and insured by Racing America (formerly Parella Motorsports Holdings). Licensing requirements include a valid competition license or novice permit issued by FRP, SCCA, FIA, HSR, IMSA, NASA, VRG, EMRA, IndyCar, or CACC. Notably, expired 2025 licenses will be accepted for this Sebring test only. Graduates of Lucas Oil or the Skip Barber Racing School are also eligible for an FRP license.

Fuel is open, with Sebring offering multiple octane options on-site.

There are no tire restrictions for the test. Competitors may run any tire of their choosing. Note: Hoosier Tire will not be providing on-site support, Teams can and are encouraged to order tires directly in advance from Hoosier. Contact Adam Batton - abatton@hoosiertire.com) .

The January Sebring Test also providers an early opportuity to obtain the 2026 FRP credentials. Drivers must obtain an FRP Pro License by their second regular-season event, while crew members are strongly encouraged to apply for the FRP Crew Hard Card, available at no charge. Applications for both will be available at racefrp.com in early January and at this Sebring event.

All drivers, crew members, and guests must complete required Racing America and track-specific waivers, and all participants must check in at FRP’s on-site registration prior to entering hot pit areas or taking to the track.

“This test is a great opportunity to get three hours of track time at a reasonable, shake down cars, evaluate drivers, and get crews up to speed without the pressures of a race weekend,” explained Bob Wright. “We look forward to Sebring and having this as the unofficial start to the 2026 season.”
