F2000 Disciplinary Action Statement

July 30, 2011

F2000 Championship Series officials have announced disciplinary action following the second race at Mosport’s round five (race ten) of the 2011 F2000 Championship Series season.

Driver of the #91 Connery Concrete Van Diemen, Kyle Connery, has received a two  race ban effective immediately with the second race of that ban suspended pending approval following Lime Rock Park practice on September 17 as well as successful incident free qualifying and racing in Lime Rock Park race two.

This ban will result in #91 being disallowed to participate in qualifying for race one on Friday September 17 and participating in race one at Lime Rock Park September 18.

This disciplinary action is demanded from actions that resulted in a lap one-turn one accident that removed a total of six cars and drivers from Mosport race two and causing heavy mechanical damage as well as causing one driver to suffer a concussion resulting from impacting flying debris.

The expected result is increased awareness and respect for every competitor by all competing drivers.

There will be a mandatory Driver-Crew Chief-Team Principle meeting scheduled for Friday morning September 17 at 8:00 AM for further announcements.
