Ming Building on 2015 Run

Last October Calvin Ming made his F1600 Formula F Championship Series debut on a brisk weekend at PittRace, highlighted by a second-place finish, which he hopes to improve on this weekend.

"That was my first ever formula race here," Ming said. "This weekend the goal is to try to get back to the top step of the podium. To return to victory lane I need to make smart decisions when it comes to race time, as well as having a strong qualifying, which will come from making good use of Friday practice time."

Mallinen: First Visit to PittRace

For Swan Motorsports driver Max Mallinen, it is a first-time visit to the Pittsburgh facility.

"I have never raced at here before but have heard many good things about it," said the Spectrum driver. "For me, learning a track begins at home, watching video for lines, looking at data for gears and speeds. Once at the track, it's all about seeing how you compare to the competition and attempting to better them in each and every corner."

Scanlan: Top Ten Target

Masters Class veteran Mike Scanlan has his sights set on a trio of Masters Class podiums this weekend and a run in the top 10 overall.

"Hopefully I'll be able to come to terms with Bamford's pace and challenge for a Masters win," Scanlan said. "With my long layoff the car got a complete mid season check up and is in great shape for the last three series weekends."
