Exclusive Management Inc. becomes North American Importer and Distributer of Spectrum Race Cars

January 9, 2014

January 9, 2014 (Saskatoon, SK):  Exclusive Management Inc. (EM Inc.), the Canadian importer and distributor of Spectrum race cars and the owners of the multi-championship winning F1600 Spectrum factory team, Exclusive Autosport, is proud to announce they are now the North American importer and distributors of Australian designed and manufactured Spectrum Race Cars.

The Spectrum chassis is synonymous with winning worldwide.  Winning not only races, but championships.  The Spectrum quickly becoming one of the winningest chassis worldwide.  In 2013 alone, Spectrum Chassis’ won several championships; the Walter Hayes Trophy in Silverstone, England with Scott Malvern at the wheel, The Ontario-based Toyo Tires F1600 Championship (Exclusive Autosport; Jack Mitchell), The Formula Tour 1600 Pro Class Championship (Exclusive Autosport; Thomas McGregor), the Formula Tour 1600 Pro Class Rookie-of-The-Year (Exclusive Autosport driver Tristan DeGrand), the Formula Tour 1600 Masters Championship (Exclusive Autosport; Guy Gilain), The US F1600 Championship (Cape Motorsports; Jake Eidson), the US F1600 Rookie-of-the-Year Championship (Cape Motorsports; Jack Eidson) and is currently leading the FF championship in the eastern conference SCCA Majors Tour with Exclusive Autosport.

The opportunity to become the North American importer and distributor became available to EM Inc. over the holiday season.  For many reasons, EM Inc. believed this was an incredible opportunity to continue to grow and expand an already successful working relationship with the Australian based Borland Racing Developments.  EM Inc. believes that formula 1600 racing is without a doubt the best training ground for developing drivers and further they believe that Spectrum builds the best formula 1600 chassis out there.  EM Inc. sincerely appreciates all that Cape Motorsports has done for the Spectrum brand in the US market and looks to further build the Spectrum brand and service and support all new and existing Spectrum customers across the North American marketplace.

“I am very excited about the opportunity and proud to be the North American importer and distributor of the Spectrum line.  All of our drivers thoroughly loved driving the Spectrum.  When we held open test days in the fall, all the drivers (who have experience in many different manufactured 1600 chassis) felt the Spectrum was far superior, and I think the results (worldwide) also showed that.  The Australian factory has been so supportive of our program and our goals as a company.  To work with and continue to build the Spectrum brand alongside of Mike and Tracey Borland and their team is truly an honor.  At this point it is our intentions to set up a “base” in the U.S. in order to service our clients better,” said Michael Duncalfe, President and CEO of EM Inc. and team owner of Exclusive Autosport.

“We are excited that Exclusive Autosport are able to expand their Canadian operations to take over the distributorship of Spectrum in the US and I know that they will be able to further improve the high level of service that our US customers are used to. With more than ten cars running in the US Championship Series this year and our soon to be released F2000 chassis we are happy to partner with Michael in expanding our US operations even further,” said Mike Borland, Owner of Borland Racing Developments.  “Spectrum has enjoyed a very successful few years with Cape Motorsports but unfortunately scheduling issues have made it impossible for them to continue to run a team to represent our product but I hope in the future to be able to resume our relationship with Nicholas and Dominic.”

Announcements about the Spectrum F2000 and Exclusive Autosport’s 2014 plans and driver line up will be made in the coming weeks.
