Fresh off the back of a pair of 1-2 finishes in F1600 action in Canada with Scott Andrews and Thomas McGregor, Exclusive Autosport heads to New Jersey Motorsports Park for Round 6 of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series this weekend, 28th to 30th August.

The nearly month-long break in the series allowed Exclusive Autosport the opportunity to return to its roots in Canadian F1600.  Last weekend at Ontario’s Calabogie Motorsports Park the team produced a performance reminiscent of its title capturing outings when it swept all before them in 2013 and 2014 winning both the Toyo Tires F1600 Series and Formula Tour F1600 Championship.

Australia’s Scott Andrews triumphed in both races, from pole position, followed by Canadian team-mate, Thomas McGregor – the Exclusive Autosport duo blitzing the opposition in their official North American Spectrum factory entries.

Returning to the F1600 Formula F Championship Series this weekend, Andrews will be looking to carry his winning momentum as he sets his sights on the Drivers Championship with two rounds remaining.

The 24-year-old has won a record-breaking seven races in the series having led the points chase all season long.  Keen to bounce back after a relatively disappointing showing at the previous round in Pittsburgh, where a second place finish was his sole podium of the weekend, Andrews is targeting victory in New Jersey.

Saskatoon’s Thomas McGregor enjoyed a solid showing in Pittsburgh but after two podium finishes last weekend in Canada, the 23-year-old former Formula Tour F1600 Pro-Class Champion is eager to capitalize on his most recent showing.

McGregor, who earlier this season captured the SCCA Majors South East Division title, currently sits fifth in the points.

In the F2000 Championship Series Exclusive Autosport’s Trent Walko continues to shine having taken his second podium finish of the season last time out in Pittsburgh.  The American teenager was a front-row qualifier in both races earlier this month further showcasing his progress in his rookie season in the category.

Walko has scored 301 points on the year to hold fifth in the standings arriving this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park near Millville, New Jersey.

“I hope we get back to winning ways in New Jersey,” stated Michael Duncalfe Exclusive Autosport Team Principal.  “Pittsburgh was our first weekend this season without a victory.  While we took some highlights from the event we always strive to be better and we know in F1600 we should be challenging each time out.  Scott and Thomas are race sharp having competed in Canada last weekend and I’m hoping we maintain our consistency in New Jersey.

“Trent’s had some exciting performances at Mid-Ohio and in Pittsburgh, scoring podium finishes at both tracks.  I’m confident he can continue his F2000 education.  He’s come close to that first win and pole position so hopefully it’s just a matter of time.  We work hard to ensure all our drivers are mixing it up at the front of their fields showcasing the Spectrum HPD package.  I can’t wait to get to New Jersey and get our weekend started.”
