Lakeville, CT – Putting his stamp on rain driving, Jake Eidson took another commanding win in the wet at Lime Rock Park. The victory, his third of the season, marked his second win of the day at Lime Rock, as he expertly controlled the race pace to the checkered flag in the No. 10 Spectrum/Honda entry for Cape Motorsports. Adrian Starrantino and Aaron Telitz completed the podium.

“I owe a lot of this success to the team,” said Eidson. “In this race I was much more pressured by Adrian but it was a good race and we got a great start when the green flag dropped.”

Eidson, who won the first race of the day, started from the point and easily slotted into the lead coming out of Lime Rock’s “Big Bend,” leading all 28 laps as the slow race pace meant a time window ended things two laps early.

Starrantino marked his second straight podium of the day, improving on a third in the morning to a second this afternoon.

“Today was really good for points with the two podiums,” Starrantino, driving a Mygale/Honda for Bryan Herta Autosport, said.

Telitz completed the podium in third, coming back from a top five in the morning and battling back from a qualifying crash in his WISKO Racing Mygale/Honda.

“I was a bit timid in the first rain race,” said Telitz, who has one win this year, compared to Starrantino’s two and Eidson’s three.

Jim Goughary’s rough start to the 2013 season has come to an end as he notched the Masters Class victory with a fourth place effort for Raceworks in a Van Diemen/Honda.

Second place finisher from the morning race Paul Alspach was fifth in the second WISKO car, also running the fastest lap of the all-green-flag race at Lime Rock.

Ayla Agren stayed out of trouble to come home sixth for Bryan Herta Autosport, with Steve Bamford following in seventh – unable to repeat his strong performance from Road Atlanta. Sam Chastain’s Bryan Herta Autosport entry was eighth – with all three of those drivers in Mygale/Honda combinations.

Joe Colasacco and Art Foster completed the top ten.

As for the weather, it was two rain races at Lime Rock with temperatures never really finding their way north of the forties.

The two races held today at Lime Rock Park marked the mid-point of the 2013 Formula F season, with rounds five and six of the 12-race campaign.

F1600 Formula F Championship Series teams get more than a month to regroup for three events in six weeks to close the season, starting with a doubleheader at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, July 26-28.
