David Grant on Top at PittRace

July 30, 2017

Wampum, PA - David Grant went flag-to-flag to take his second win of the 2017 Atlantic Championship Series season with a drive to the victory at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in round 10. Piloting the No. 29 Polestar Racing Group Swift 016/Mazda, Grant took his second win in three races and closes in on the points lead with just four races to go. K-Hill's Peter Portante and Comprent's Richard Zober matched their Saturday performances by finishing second and third, respectively.

Quotes from the Top Finishers:

David Grant:

"It was a tough start yesterday. We had a great car yesterday and a mechanical issue got us, that is just part of the game. The car was perfect all day. It was great this morning and I got the one lap I needed for pole. It was even better this afternoon with the heat."

Peter Portante:

"All in all it was a great weekend considering the problems we had and the K-Hill team working hard to get the car squared away. Two seconds is not bad at all and it's been fun running with David and Keith. This is the first weekend we haven't won a race this year, I don't plan on making a habit of that."

Richard Zober:

"It was a great weekend, it's good to finish on the podium twice. It has been so much fun here, it's a great track. It's good to have luck too."

Of note, Lee Alexander finished fourth for Comprent while teammate Bob Corliss completed the top five and ran the third quickest lap of the race in the No. 17 Swift 014/Toyota.

Saturday winner Keith Grant did not start the race after an engine issue occurred during morning qualifying.
