Coming off of a successful 2014 season Atlantic Championship Series driver, K-Hill Motorsports‘ Conner Kearby, is looking forward to a sophomore campaign in 2015 in his Swift 016/Mazda.

Kearby walked away from the 2014 season with nothing but a positive attitude and a sense of eagerness as to what the next season is going to throw his way; and after claiming second place three times in 2014, he hopes to make it to that top step of the podium.

“The 2014 season couldn't have been better to me. The goal was to go to and learn as many tracks as I could my first year of racing to set a good foundation. I had a great time learning the different cars, tracks, and people. I can't thank my dad and the K-Hill Motorsports guys enough for everything they've done for me,” said Kearby.

“The highlight was being a part of it honestly. To me, I never lose a race, I either win or learn. There's always things I could've done better, even if do well that race, and I always strive to do better the next race.”

Even though the 2014 season is in the rear view mirror, Kearby has stayed focused and has kept racing on his mind.

“I've been focusing on my senior year of high school and keeping in shape for the 2015 season. Getting back in my car hasn't left my mind since I got out of it,” said Kearby.

Kearby looks to his father, who also races in the series, for inspiration and stays motivated by the same passion that is shared by many drivers.

“I simply have a passion for racing, and that's what motivates me. I would say my dad inspires me the most, but there are other young drivers out there that inspire and challenge me to get better each time I go out on the track.”

Kearby has interest in several different sports, and his journey to cars has consisted of experiencing more than one.

“My dad was always into Motorsports, whether it be BMX, Motocross, Supercross, or Sprint cars,” he continued. “ When I turned four years old my dad taught me how to ride a BMX bike and I started competing. I was about ready to progress to motorcycles when my dad thought it would be a good idea to stop because of injuries. I began road racing at the age of 12 at Texas Motorsports Ranch, in Dallas. Then the passion started growing.”

Kearby’s off the track hobbies consist of; going to the gym, traveling, and practicing on the simulator as much as he can.

“Improve lap consistency, finish every race, and improve lap times,” Kearby’s basic but very important expectations for the 2015 season. “I'm excited to see what the 2015 season has to offer and where it will lead me,” said Kearby.

Expect to see Kearby behind the wheel of the K-Hill Motorsports No. 56 Swift/Mazda car and heading to the front of the Atlantic field.

Look forward to seeing Kearby at Road Atlanta come this April. The Atlantic Championship Series has an expanded schedule for 2015 with seven weekends and fourteen races that will start at Road Atlanta on April 10.
