Chris Miller Leads Morning Practice

Watkins Glen, NY – After a very limited session yesterday the F2000 drivers and teams enjoyed a dry early morning practice session to prepare for this morning’s qualifying session followed by the afternoon race. At the end of the practice session it was Chris Miller and JDC MotorSports topping the time sheets with a lap of 1:53, a few tenths under the track record.

Not far behind was championship points leader Matthew Inge, second fastest, followed by Benjamin Searcy, Remy Audette and Mark Defer.

The session came to a stop for a few minutes as Caitlin Johnston’s Z-Sports #20 stalled on-track and rescue crews had to tow her back to the pits. Jonathan Scarallo also lost his front wing assembly in an off-track excursion, but was able to get back to the pits under his own power.

Qualifying for this afternoon’s race gets underway very shortly, at 11:25, with the race following at 2:45.
