Abbottstown, PA – Austin Mack has signed a contract to run the 2015 F1600 Formula F Championship Series with K-Hill Motorsports, 2014 Atlantic Championship Series and SCCA Runoffs Champions.

“We are so glad to have Austin Mack join our team and lead our F1600 program. Partnering with this young man and expanding his knowledge and racing career are going to be a great thing to see. He has the dedication to go far in this series and we support him 100 percent,” said Kris Kaiser, team owner.

Sixteen-year-old Mack comes from Warren, Rhode Island, and started his racing career early on at age seven, racing indoor karts. He raced at F1 Boston and then graduated to Rotax Minimax by age nine. Mack won not one but two Northeast Rotax Championships.

After a break from racing Mack felt the call to come back and did some Bertil Roos racing events.

Dennis Macchio, owner of Bertil Roos, felt Austin had what it takes to go straight to the pro levels. Mack raced in a SCCA Regional at New Jersey Motorsports Park, winning both races, and ran within half a second of the track record.

Mack’s goals for the season are without a doubt to win the Championship. And K-Hill welcomes the opportunity to partner with Mack to run at the front.

“I’m driving for an exceptional team, who put together an exceptional car and I think that we will be at the front in most if not all of the races this season. I know the competition is very stiff and the new tires and race weekend format will provide a very big challenge, however, I am very confident heading into this season that I will be a threat to win races,” said Mack.
