Exclusive Autosport is pleased to announce that New York’s Ben Auriemma has signed with the multi-championship winning team and will contest a full season of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series in 2016.

The 17-year-old from Manhasset, New York will make his debut in a black and red Exclusive Autosport Spectrum Honda this coming weekend, February 19-21 at the F1600 Formula F Championship Series non-points weekend at Sebring International Raceway.  The 2016 championship season officially begins April 7-10 at Road Atlanta in Georgia.

Auriemma got his start in the sport racing go-karts at the age of 10 where he enjoyed considerable success at the national level. He made the move to cars in 2014 and began to pave the way for his open-wheel career.  He competed in both the Skip Barber Winter Series and the Skip Barber Summer Series where he finished 3rd overall and earned Rookie of the Year in the Winter Series and 2nd overall in the Summer Series.  Auriemma moved to F1600 racing in 2015 and contested the 2015 F1600 Formula F Championship. He finished 3rd overall in the championship standings with five podium finishes.  He will return to the F1600 Formula F Championship Series and make a run for the overall championship (that Exclusive Autosport won in 2015) in the #92 ACG / Exclusive Autosport / Spectrum / Honda.

“I’m thrilled that we have signed Ben for the 2016 F1600 USA Championship season to defend our F1600 Championship title,” said team owner Michael Duncalfe. “In 2015 Ben was extremely fast.  He was a model of consistency - challenging in the top 3 every race and challenging us (Exclusive Autosport) right to the last weekend for the championship.  A couple of the things that intrigued me about Ben is his attention to detail and his relentless work ethic both on and off track. I am confident that Ben will be challenging for race wins right out of the gates driving our #92 Spectrum Honda.  I am looking forward to our first outing together this coming weekend at Sebring.”

“It's very exciting for me to be back in the F1600 Championship this year,” said Auriemma.  “As a driver I feel I have some unfinished business, so I'm deeply grateful to be given a second shot at what I set out to achieve last year.  My partnership with Exclusive Autosport is set to be a powerful one, as we are both intensely committed to a common goal - winning the championship.  Expect big things from the #92 car in the coming season.”
