Atlantic race change, annual awards party and more
We are less than two weeks away from the next round of the Formula Race Promotions (FRP) program and we will be back at Summit Point Motorsports Park. Set to take place over the weekend of August 19th to the 21st, entry numbers are on the rise for the fun-filled weekend. On top of our normal race weekend, teams and competitors have the opportunity to be on track Thursday for the track’s organized test sessions.
“The extra test day organized and run by Summit Point is great and provides more opportunity for our drivers to take part in some extra track time,” explained Bob Wright. “It will be a busy weekend with our participating classes of F2000; F1000; F1600; RCFFS; VS2000 & The Challenge Cup FVs, and we are looking forward to another great event.”

Other Notes and Information
· The fifth round of the FRP Atlantic Championship has been moved to the Pittsburgh International Race Complex over the October 14-16 weekend. The Atlantic class will not be offered at Summit Point Motorsports Park.
· The final event of the 2022 Formula Race Promotions campaign will take place at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex and will be another fun-filled event. In addition to the on-track action, the annual FRP Awards Party will take place Saturday evening after all track sessions.
“It’s going to be a BLAST! And I will have some exciting news about next season to share,” promises Bob Wright.
