FRP Forced to Cancel Barber Motorsports Park Event but Adds Road Atlanta

July 10, 2020

“Fluid situation causes cancellation”

July 10, 2020 – As the world continues to evolve due to COVID-19, the Formula Race Promotions effort has been forced to do the same and cancel their Barber Motorsports Park event at the end of the month. With the bad news comes some good news as working together with one of their recently cancelled locations, FRP can confirm an event at Road Atlanta for October 30th and 31st .

Due to COVID-19 concerns and quarantine issues in some states, FRP has made the decision to postpone the event until further notice.
“It is with great regret that we need to cancel our event at Barber,” explained Bob Wright. “Barber is a facility that we had been looking forward to visiting ever since we had to delay our event earlier in the year that was there. They have been great to work with and we look forward to visiting them again when the time is right.”

Looking to run a complete calendar in the 2020 season, FRP does back up the somber news with some excitement. Set to return to Road Atlanta October 30th and 31st , FRP competitors in Atlantic, F1000, F2000, F1600 and RCFFS will experience Halloween in Braselton, Georgia in 2020 and race alongside the Radical Cup.

“We are really excited to be heading to Road Atlanta later this year,” added Wright. “Road Atlanta has been a fixture on our calendar for many years and the season would not be complete if we were not able to race there.”
